Welcome to Bartsch Gardens, a local 4th generation, family owned business in the Pittsburgh area. Every year we grow a large selection of annuals, hanging baskets, and perennials. All of our production happens locally, at our greenhouses at 155 Hahn Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15209. We are open to retail and wholesale customers from Spring to Fall. We also offer a spring, fall, and Christmas fundraiser to local organizations looking to raise funds.

Our production starts in January, sowing our first batch of seeds. Soon after, we will be rooting cuttings and transplanting our plugs into final containers. By early April, we have pansies and some early perennials available for sale. However, that is just the start, and by the end of April to early May most of our annuals are in full bloom. Also, we will have vegetables and herbs to plant in your garden after the last frost.

Throughout the rest of the year, we have a range of perennials with bloom times between spring and fall. Between late August and Mid October, our fall mums will be in bloom to freshen up your garden with Autumn colors. This would be a great time to pick up some of the pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, and straw that we bring in from local farmers.
